Nieuw album en tournee Ambrogio Sparagna
Ambrogio Sparagna heeft een prachtig nieuw album uitgebracht. De titel: Sparagna (Finisterre FTCD 28). Deze vrolijke Italiaanse zanger en vooral tovenaar op diatonische trekzak (een castagnari organetto) was een paar jaar terug een van de verrassingen op het International Folkfestival Tilburg. Sparagna behoort tot de top van de Italiaanse diatonische trekzakmuziek.
Zijn album bevat veel gedreven dansbare muziek, veel vocaal werk en fraaie rustige ballades. Sparagna zingt de meeste songs zelf, maar in een aantal nummers nemen anderen de leadzang voor hun rekening. Dat zijn niet de minsten, onder hen: Francesco Di Gregori en Lucilla Galeazzi.
